Job summary

Summit Health Management in Clifton, NJ is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our satellite lab team. You will perform blood draws, ensure proper specimen collection and labeling, and support LIS documentation during daily lab operations.

The schedule runs Monday through Thursday 3pm–6pm and Saturdays 8am–12pm at a nearby sister lab location. Prior phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma are required; training is provided to ensure compliant, accurate sample handling.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency in all areas of adult phlebotomy.
• Demonstrated competency in all areas of pediatric phlebotomy.
• Demonstrated competency in all areas of infant phlebotomy.
• Demonstrates competency in performing skin punctures.
• Demonstrates competency in performing bleeding times and entering results correctly.

Responsibilities

• Uses aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Processes specimens according to SOP.
• Collects urine & stool samples with proper containers and labeling.
• Collects COC Urine Drug Screen as required.
• Administers and collects H. pylori breath tests.
• Handles orders correctly and documents appropriately in LIS.
• Monitors inventory and restocks supplies in phlebotomy area.
• Communicates results and recalls patients for follow-up when needed.
