Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our on-site laboratory team in Florham Park, NJ. You will draw blood, process specimens and ensure accurate labeling and timely transport to the main lab, supporting patient care across our multispecialty network.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture on adults, pediatrics and infants, maintaining LIS records, and training junior staff while adapting to emergency staffing needs in a fast-paced, patient-centered

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred; drug screen collection may be required.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification through the National Health Career Association (NHA) preferred; may be required for specific locations based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Uses appropriate aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Processes Stat specimens according to SOP.
• Prepares collection containers with appropriate preservatives for patients and gives instructions for proper collection (Urine & Stool).
• Properly administers and collects a H. pylori Breath test.
