Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our lab team in Livingston, NJ. The role involves drawing blood cultures using aseptic technique, processing STAT specimens, and preparing collection containers with proper preservatives for home collection where applicable.

The position is full-time with a schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and rotating Saturdays or Sundays, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Candidates should have 2+ years phlebotomy experience and familiarity with LIS systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (NHA) preferred; CLA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood cultures using aseptic technique.
• Process Stat specimens per Summit Health SOP.
• Collect specimens at home (Urine & Stool) with proper instructions.
• Record volumes for 24-hr collections.
• Administer and collect H. pylori Breath tests.
• Handle orders for OVH Blood Bank specimens and ensure proper labeling.
