Job summary

Summit Health is hiring a part-time phlebotomy technician for a satellite lab role. You will draw blood, collect specimens, and process tests at our regional lab sites. This position supports patient care in a fast-paced environment and requires careful adherence to lab procedures.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, LIS entry, and assisting with follow-up procedures. 2+ years phlebotomy experience and relevant certifications are preferred, with travel to satellite locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Processes specimens and records results in LIS.
• Collects 24-hour urine and H. pylori breath test.
• Properly handles orders and labeling for specimens.
• Trains new staff on lab policies and procedures.
