Summit Health in East Hanover, NJ is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our patient-centered lab team. You will draw blood cultures, collect specimens for STAT testing, and ensure accurate labeling and handling per SOPs.

The role requires flexibility for rotating weekend shifts and 20 or 28 hours per week. Minimum of a high school diploma with at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience is expected; phlebotomy certification (NHA or CLA) is preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma required; minimum 2 years phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (NHA/CLA)
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and lab terminology.
• Proficiency in specimen labeling, handling, and safe transport.

Mansioni

• Draw blood cultures using aseptic technique.
• Process specimens per SOP and document outcomes.
• Collect, label, and prepare specimens for home collection when applicable.
• Manage satellite lab workflows and courier coordination.
• Monitor and replenish lab supplies; maintain clean, organized phlebotomy area.
• Assist with rapid tests and proper LIS entry as required.
• Adapt work schedule to meet emergency staffing needs.
