Job summary

Summit Health in Clifton, NJ is seeking a phlebotomist for our outpatient lab. The role requires phlebotomy experience, a strong attention to detail, and knowledge of HIPAA guidelines. You will draw blood, process specimens, and document results in the LIS.

The schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating Saturday/Sunday options, offering full-time, benefit-eligible employment and the opportunity to participate in a growing patient‑centric care network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience required.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification through NHA preferred; may be required in some locations.
• CLA Certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and lab requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood cultures using aseptic technique.
• Process specimens and enter data in LIS.
• Prepare collection containers with appropriate preservatives.
• Perform urine drug screen and H. pylori breath test as required.
• Label specimens and manage paperwork per SOP.
• Monitor supplies and restock the phlebotomy area.
• Document callbacks and recalls for follow‑ups.
• Assist with rapid tests and courier coordination.
