Duly Health and Care is seeking a part-time patient scheduling and registration specialist. The role focuses on accurate appointment scheduling, collecting demographics, and verifying insurance to support our care teams.

You will maintain patient confidentiality under HIPAA, deliver excellent customer service, and coordinate with departments to ensure smooth patient flow. Training in Downers Grove, IL is provided.

Qualifications

• Schedules patient appointments in accordance with guidelines to ensure accurate outcomes.
• Performs patient demographics entry and insurance verification.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Answers switchboard calls and transfers patients to the correct department.
• Provides high-quality customer service with professional phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments in accordance with scheduling guidelines and policies to ensure accurate outcomes for patients and doctors. Quality and accuracy (70%).
• Is proficient with scheduling unique modalities/specialties.
• Transferring clinical calls to Triage when required.
• Cancels and reschedules appointments at the patient’s request.
• References scheduling guidelines and protocols to assure accurate scheduling.
• Review and updates patient demographic and insurance information as needed.
• Answers switchboard calls and transfers patients to the correct department.
• Sends afterhours physician pages for inpatient and outpatient callers.
• Phone Etiquette and Call wrap-up (15%) … speaks clearly and professionally.
• Participates in departmental projects, huddles, and meetings (15%) … maintaining current resources.
