Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a part-time patient scheduling and registration specialist. The role focuses on accurate appointment scheduling, collecting demographics, and verifying insurance to support our care teams.

You will maintain patient confidentiality under HIPAA, deliver excellent customer service, and coordinate with departments to ensure smooth patient flow. Training in Downers Grove, IL is provided.

Qualifications

• Is proficient with scheduling unique modalities/specialties.
• Transferring clinical calls to Triage when required.
• Cancels and reschedules appointments at the patient’s request.
• References scheduling guidelines and protocols to assure accurate scheduling.
• Review and updates patient demographic and insurance information as needed.
• Answers switchboard calls and transfers patients to the correct department.
• Sends afterhours physician pages for inpatient and outpatient callers.
• Phone Etiquette and Call wrap-up (15%) … speaks clearly and professionally.
• Participates in departmental projects, huddles, and meetings (15%) … maintaining current resources.

Job Summary

Part Time: 24 Hours Shifts Available: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8am - 5pm Training Schedule: Downers Grove, Illinois 2 Weeks: 40 hours - Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities

Under the Direction of the Department Supervisor and/or Manager, this position is responsible for accurate and timely patient scheduling and registration. Provides efficient, effective, quality customer service through a variety of duties including, but not limited to: Appointment scheduling; the collection and entry of patient demographics, and verification of coverage. Maintains the strictest patient confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines. Responsible for the accurate, timely, and comprehensive registration and insurance verification of Duly health and Care patients.

• Schedules patient appointments in accordance with scheduling guidelines and policies to ensure accurate outcomes for patients and doctors. Quality and accuracy (70%)

• Participates in departmental projects, huddles, and meetings (15%) Attends meetings as required. Responsible for maintaining and obtaining accurate and current resource material
• Participates in the rotation of department responsibilities and performs other projects and duties related to the organization review

Compensation

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $18 - $20 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
