Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time patient access representative who greets and registers patients, answers calls, schedules appointments, and files medical charts as needed. The position requires excellent customer service and the ability to work Mon-Fri 8am-7pm as needed.

You will collect accurate demographic and insurance details, screen for eligibility, inform patients of requirements, and help identify self-pay cases while coordinating with clinical and support teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated computer skills and ability to navigate current technology systems.
• Strong administrative skills.
• One year of health care experience preferred.
• CPR certification as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; answer calls; schedule appointments.
• Pull and file medical charts as indicated.
• Ensure accurate demographic and insurance information on registrations.
• Screen data for insurance eligibility and pre-certification requirements.
• Communicate requirements and assist in identifying self-pay patients.
• Coordinate with departments and clinical staff; support onboarding of new employees.
