Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Access Clerk who greets and registers patients, answers calls, schedules appointments, and files medical charts. This role supports patient access teams across departments and requires strong customer service and basic computer skills.

Non-benefits eligible; evenings schedule Tue–Thu, 4:30pm–9pm. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred), CPR certification as determined by management,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Associate’s Degree, preferred.
• CPR certification (based on position and as determined by manager).
• One year of health care experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients as part of the Patient Access team.
• Answers telephone calls, schedules appointments, and retrieves medical charts as needed.
• Obtains accurate demographic and insurance information for registrations.
• Maintains clear communication with departments and supports new employee shadowing.
