Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients.
• Answers telephone calls, schedules appointments, and pulls and files medical charts.
• Obtains accurate demographic, insurance, and physician information.
• Screens customer data for insurance eligibility and pre-certification requirements.
• Identifies self-pay patients and refers to financial assistance when applicable.
• Maintains communication with departments and clinical staff.
• Assists in shadowing/new employee training.
