Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a part-time Front Desk Registrar in the Rehab Department. The role supports patients by welcoming them, registering and collecting demographics, insurance info and co-pays, and guiding them through the check-in process with empathy and efficiency.

Work is 24 hours per week, Day/Evening shift, Monday-Thursday 1:30pm-7:00pm. You will handle scheduling and pre-registration tasks, answer questions, maintain patient confidentiality, and contribute to timely,

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced business setting providing customer service.
• Ability to process electronic demographic, financial or other data accurately.
• Strong communication and empathy in patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and explain the registration process.
• Process co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles and balances due; safeguard cash and receipts.
• Complete the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjust coverage as needed.
• Obtain signatures on consent and financial forms; scan and file documents.
• Maintain a neat, orderly registration desk and protect confidential information.
• Schedule patients using multiple sources and manage cancellations or changes.
• Verify insurance coverage using real-time eligibility checks and assign guarantor.
