Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) Outpatient RN CAP 1. This part-time role provides and coordinates dialysis care for an assigned patient group under supervision, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, participate in team education, and support quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes in a busy outpatient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform dialysis nursing care and coordinate patient care under supervision.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for dialysis patients; document in medical records.
• Administer medications per protocol; respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families; participate in staff training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; ensure labs are collected and shipped properly.
• Supervise patient care staff as Team Leader when assigned.
