Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 position within the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for dialysis patients, perform assessments, plan and implement care, and educate patients and families.

The role involves collaboration with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and PCTs, and may require travel to training sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, current state licensure.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology experience; hemodialysis preferred.
• CPR/BLS certified and able to meet CAP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care with the health care team.
• Document data in the medical record and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families and participate in staff training.
• Assist with emergency response measures and ensure proper lab procedures.
