Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient CAP program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in a dialysis setting.

You will work under supervision with the care team, perform essential hemodialysis duties, and participate in education, quality improvement, and staff development as part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs RN duties under supervision and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or collaboration with other RNs.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during pre-, during-, post-hemodialysis and documents in the medical record; adjusts plan as needed.
• Provides initial and ongoing education to patients and families.
• Delivers safe, effective hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients in collaboration with the care team.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and documents justification/effectiveness.
• Supports training and orientation of new staff as assigned.
