Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP1 program. You will provide and coordinate nephrology care, including assessment, planning, and evaluation for assigned patients, and collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

The role emphasizes teaching, leadership, and quality improvement within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, with opportunities to advance CAP requirements and participate in ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR BLS certification (current).
• Must meet the state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for assigned patients.
• Document data in the patient record and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on learning needs.
• Direct safe hemodialysis therapy with staff collaboration.
• Administer medications per protocol and document efficacy.
• Support emergency response and participate in staff training.

Nephrology nursing (<2 yrs)

Hemodialysis experience
