Socket.dev is seeking a part-time New Patient Coordinator to assist our Orthodontic department in Durham and related locations. You will welcome patients, explain treatment options, coordinate care, and ensure a smooth patient experience across office locations.

The role requires 1–2 years of dental experience, NC X-Ray Certification, and ability to lift 15–20 lbs. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
1–2 years of dental experience is required.
Orthodontic experience is preferred.
NC X-Ray Certification is required.
Ability to lift up to 15–20 lbs.

Responsibilities

Conduct new patient consultations including office tours and treatment overview.
Take initial records (photos, X-rays, etc.).
Schedule bonding and recall appointments.
Prepare and present bonding contracts; review financial agreements and collect payments.
Post payments, submit insurance claims, and set up auto-drafts.
Maintain patient reports and appointment confirmations.
Schedule ongoing maintenance and follow-up appointments.
Monitor and respond to office emails.
Support other administrative and clinical tasks as needed.
