Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Part-Time Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will assist the optometrist, obtain medical history, perform pre-exam testing, and ensure accurate patient data entry and clean records.

You will greet patients warmly, handle calls, manage lens orders and inventory, and support both exam and retail functions while upholding HIPAA standards and a patient-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image and greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations and prepare patients for exams.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, consult when necessary.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant record handling and scheduling procedures.
• Support retention and exam scheduling through follow-up calls.
• Manage contact lens trials, inventory and room organization.
• Input patient and insurance data in the CIAO system with accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist as needed.
