Job summary

LensCrafters in Cincinnati is seeking a part-time Optometric Technician who delivers the LensCrafters Experience by supporting eye examinations, preparing patients, and ensuring quality patient interactions.

You will greet patients, handle data entry in the CIAO system, maintain records in HIPAA-compliant fashion, and assist the optometrist while contributing to store performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of strong customer service experience.
• Leadership and strong communication skills.
• Problem solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Knowledge of office procedures.
• Strong math skills.
• Preferred: experience in retail and/or optical.
• Experience in healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and display a professional image.
• Answer phones courteously and manage calls.
• Assist the optometrist with eye examinations and data collection.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy.
• Input patient data and insurance information using the CIAO system.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and organize files.
• Support exam rooms and contact lens area; maintain inventory.
• Assist retail operations as patient demand allows.
• Provide coaching on contact lens care.
