Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a full-time Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will assist the optometrist, prepare patients, and ensure accurate record-keeping and patient care within a fast-paced optical care environment.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, supporting exams, handling records, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in exam and contact lens areas. Training and growth opportunities provided within the retail optical sector.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills.
• Leadership skills.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations and prepare patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; identify special needs.
• Handle and file patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
• Provide coaching and guidance to patients on care and handling of contact lenses.
