Job summary

LensCrafters in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Part-Time Optometric Technician to join our eye-care team. You will support the optometrist during exams, gather medical history, prep patients, and help deliver the LensCrafters Experience.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry in the CIAO system, HIPAA compliance, friendly patient service, and efficient handling of patient flow and contact lens orders. Prior retail or healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer the telephone promptly in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations; obtain medical history and prepare patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; identify special needs and consult as needed.
• Handle and file patient records in an organized manner per HIPAA guidelines.
• Input patient data and services into the CIAO system with accuracy.
