Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) for the PACU, working part-time nights. The role requires a CA RN license, BSN, and CCU experience; BLS/ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required; may need to complete degree within 5 years if hired without BSN.
• Minimum 1 year of critical care nursing experience (CCU) or acute care equivalent.
• Current California RN license.
• Certification in Post Anesthesia Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to plan and deliver patient/family centered care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using SBAR for hand-offs.
• Perform hourly rounds and prioritize patient needs on the unit.
• Coordinate discharge planning with care managers and interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure documentation in IPOC and compliance with policies.
