Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a Clinical Staff PACU Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care in the perioperative setting.

The RN uses the Watson Model of Care to plan and coordinate care for a defined patient group, under the Clinical Unit Supervisor's guidance. The role requires at least 1 year of Critical Care nursing experience, active California RN licensure, and preferred certifications (ACLS/BLS).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in Critical Care nursing.
• RN's new to the specialty will have a minimum of 1 year acute care nursing experience.
• Current California Nursing license.
• Certification in Post Anesthesia Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing processes as a problem-solving model to meet patient and family needs.
• Conducts hourly rounding on patients and communicates changes using SBAR.
• Assesses patients and adapts plans of care to changes in condition.
• Documents care in IPOC following unit policies and Watson Model of Care.
