Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a Clinical Staff PACU Nurse (RN) for 10-hour shifts. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient- and family-centered care following the Watson Model of Care.

The nurse collaborates with the Clinical Unit Supervisor to meet regulatory standards and hospital quality goals. Candidates should hold a California RN license with at least one year in critical care; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in critical care.
• RN's new to the specialty will have a minimum of one year acute care nursing experience.
• Current California Nursing license.
• Certification in Post Anesthesia Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the nursing process to anticipate and plan for patient and family needs.
• Perform focused assessments and target productive care.
• Recognize changes in clinical condition and adjust the plan of care.
• Prioritize and organize patient care and ensure follow-through.
• Provide age- and population-appropriate nursing care.
• Document care following IPOC and Watson Model of Care.
• Communicate changes with physicians and team members.
• Support discharge planning and care coordination.
