The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a Clinical Staff PACU Nurse to provide expert perioperative care as part of the recovery team.

You will manage patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit under the Clinical Unit Supervisor, while centralizing family-centered care and using the Watson Model. Ideal candidates hold a California RN license with at least one year in critical care, BLS and ACLS, and are bilingual in Spanish where possible.

Formación

• RN with at least one year of Critical Care nursing experience.
• California RN license required.
• Post Anesthesia Nursing certification preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred (optional).
• Basic computer skills and EMR experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates use of nursing processes to anticipate and meet patient and family needs.
• Performs thorough assessments to target areas most productive for a given patient population.
• Recognizes changes in clinical status and adjusts the care plan accordingly.
• Prioritizes and coordinates patient care with timely follow-up.
• Maintains age-appropriate care for the patient population on the unit.
• Applies current literature and critical thinking to clinical decisions.
• Supports patient satisfaction through professional interactions with patients and families.
• Maintains therapeutic nurse/patient relationships throughout care continuum.
• Performs hourly rounding and uses SBAR for hand-offs.
• Documents care in IPOC and follows unit/hospital documentation policies.
