Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time night RN for the PACU. The Clinical Staff Nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care, following the Watson Model of Care and hospital policies.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and collaboration with Care Managers for discharge planning. The ideal candidate has a BSN and at least 1 year of critical care nursing experience, CA RN license, BLS/ACLS

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 1+ year of clinical nursing experience in critical care.
• California Nursing license current.
• ACLS and BLS current preferred.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for safe patient care.
• Document care using IPOC and Watson Model of Care.
• Conduct hourly rounds and communicate using SBAR.
• Supervise and orient staff on unit as needed.
