Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a part-time Hospital Admissions Representative in Beverly Hills. The role focuses on obtaining and verifying patient demographics, insurance benefits, and eligibility, and assigning correct medical records and account numbers to ensure accurate billing information.

The position requires a High School Diploma, 0-2 years in medical or customer service settings, and BLS certification or ability to obtain. Night-shift with a rotating schedule and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 0-2 years' experience in a medical setting or heavy customer service environment utilizing data entry skills.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days post hire.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic information, insurance benefits and eligibility.
• Assign the correct medical record and account number for accurate billing and clinical information.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance coverage issues and co-pays or deposits needed.
• Review physician orders for completeness and ensure all required information is listed.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide excellent customer service.
