Job summary

UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a part-time Maintenance person for the Sunnyside Community. The role focuses on groundskeeping, basic repairs, and ensuring safety in all tasks across community-owned homes and lots.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, and adherence to UMH standards for professionalism and safety. The position is seasonal and part-time, with in-person attendance required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Broad experience in home repairs, general plumbing, grounds maintenance and heavy equipment operation.
• Snow plow experience.
• Ability to prioritize safety and attend periodic safety trainings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles through the community to inspect common areas.
• Record violations from daily inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain community grounds: mowing, weed eating, debris removal, snow plowing, sidewalks.
• Keep work areas safe and clean; ensure area clear of obstructions and safe handling of tools.
• Take daily readings from water plant when required and log work performed.
