UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Staff member at the New Colony location. The role covers groundskeeping, repairs to community homes and lots, and safe operation of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, logging work, snow plow during winter, and assisting with home installments when needed. Full-time schedule with overtime; safety training and teamwork are essential in this on-site position at Bloomington, IL.

Qualifikationen

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Experience in home repairs, general plumbing, grounds maintenance and heavy equipment operation.
• Snow plow experience.
• Ability to prioritize safety and attend periodic safety trainings.
• Time management and ability to work as part of a team or independently.

Aufgaben

• Drive UMH vehicles through the community to inspect common areas.
• Record violations observed during daily inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain community grounds including mowing, weed eating, leaves and debris cleanup.
• Keep work areas clean and safe; ensure clear aisles, exits and equipment.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained and serviced regularly.
• Take daily readings from water plant and inspect pump stations where required.
• Keep a log of all work performed in the community.
• Complete periodic safety trainings and operate power and hand tools safely.
• Follow lockout procedures and communicate professionally with coworkers.
• May assist with new home installations such as connecting sewer/water lines, skirting, decks.
