Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help secure the store and deliver excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and support loss prevention efforts with a confident, energetic presence.

Role requires 1+ year of relevant experience, physical stamina to stand/walk for long shifts, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. You will participate in training and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and analyze business trends.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Strong leadership to foster productive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Engage with customers with a confident, friendly greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to management.
• Train associates on shortage reduction programs and safety practices.
• Support store leadership with security initiatives and loss prevention efforts.
