Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and collaborate with store leadership to deter theft and ensure safe store operations. The role emphasizes knowledge of shortage reduction programs, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce opportunities for theft and maintain a secure environment.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and a confident, energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist with training associates on shortage reduction programs and store policies.
