Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to protect assets and deliver excellent customer service in our store.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers with a confident, friendly presence, and participate in loss prevention programs to reduce theft opportunities. The role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, maintain confidentiality, and report incidents to management.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and analyze business trends.
• Positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting to customers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high-risk areas to deter theft.
• Greet customers with a warm, loud, friendly greeting and eye contact.
• Identify theft incidents and report to the Manager on Duty promptly.
• Conduct bag and package checks adhering to safety standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs.
