Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers with a warm, confident greeting, and report suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty. The role requires 1+ years in customer service or loss prevention, the ability to stand long hours, confidentiality, and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations preferred.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; maintain confidentiality.
• Review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Positive demeanor with energetic greeting and strong posture.
• Fast-paced, high-pressure environment with disciplined decision making.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Strong leadership skills for productive relationships.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm, loud, friendly greeting and eye contact.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist with shortage reduction programs and provide guidance to associates.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress standards.
