Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and collaborate with leadership to identify and report theft or suspicious activity.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations is preferred.
• Stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring store environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and exhibit a positive demeanor under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers with a friendly, confident arrival and high-energy interaction.
• Report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Perform bag and package checks in alignment with safety standards.
• Assist in shortage reduction training and support store leadership.
