Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will stand at the store entrance, greet customers, and monitor for theft while adhering to dress standards and safety rules.

You will identify theft risks, perform checks, report incidents to the Manager on Duty, and assist with shortage-reduction training for staff, all while promoting a positive, energetic store presence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to monitor store environment.
• Excellent leadership skills and positive demeanor to support team relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the entrance for the entire shift to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm smile and loud, friendly greeting.
• Conduct bag and package checks for associates per safety and security standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
