Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Part-time Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will maintain vigilance at store entrances and high-risk areas, greet shoppers with a friendly, confident tone, and support theft prevention efforts through situational awareness.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in customer service, retail, or loss prevention, and can work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm, confident, and energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and safety procedures.
