The Salvation Army USA Central Territory in Michigan is seeking a part-time cook to prepare meals for the on-site Sunday lunch program and holiday services. The role includes keeping the kitchen clean, managing inventory, and collaborating with volunteers.

You will follow ServSafe guidelines, record orders, and assist with food distribution biweekly. A high school diploma or GED and some cooking experience are preferred, along with a current ServSafe Kitchen Manager certification or the ability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling guidelines (cross contamination, storage, rotation, preparation).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365; willingness to learn TEAMS and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for the Sunday lunch program and holiday meals.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with biweekly food distribution.
• Adhere to ServSafe food handling regulations.
• Record and store food orders and deliveries correctly.
• Collaborate with volunteers assigned to the kitchen.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
