Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare meals for the on-site lunch program on Sundays and holidays in Bay City, Michigan. You will keep the kitchen clean, manage inventory, create menus, and serve volunteers.

Responsibilities include coordinating food orders, adhering to ServSafe guidelines, and working with volunteers to ensure smooth operation. High school diploma and 1+ year cooking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe food handling guidelines, to include cross contamination, proper storage, rotation, and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Preparing food for lunch program on Saturdays and Holidays.
• Maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Assisting with food distribution biweekly.
• Adhering to ServSafe food handling regulations.
• Ensuring food orders and deliveries are recorded and stored properly.
• Working with volunteers that are assigned to the kitchen.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
