Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college or completed college coursework in IT, CS, cybersecurity or related field.
• Basic networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, switches, routers.
• Experience writing batch files, PowerShell, Python, or simple automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to learn technology quickly and work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: at least one networking, cybersecurity or systems admin course.
• Foundational cybersecurity knowledge: phishing awareness, passwords, MFA, endpoint protection.
• Familiarity with Windows administration and Microsoft 365.
• Experience building, configuring or repairing personal computers.
• Exposure to Active Directory, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, or Intune.
• CompTIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+ or similar training/certifications.
• Participation in school tech clubs, homelabs, hackathons or student projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic IT and help desk support to employees.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with network documentation and device inventory.
• Create or maintain automation scripts, batch files, or simple utilities.
• Help maintain user accounts and technology assets.
• Support Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, and endpoint management activities.
• Assist with cybersecurity awareness, security checks, and best practices.
• Document technical procedures and solutions.
