Job summary

Marstel-Day, LLC is seeking an entry level IT Support Technician to help maintain technology operations in a growth-oriented federal contractor environment. The role supports remote work from anywhere in the United States with occasional onsite travel as needed.

You will handle first-line tickets, troubleshoot devices, assist with Microsoft 365 onboarding and security, and collaborate with senior staff to maintain system integrity while following established security protocols.

Qualifications

• Education or experience in IT, CS, networking, or related field; degree a plus.
• IT support or helpdesk experience is a plus but not required.
• Familiar with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 cloud services.
• Strong desire to learn IT operations, security, and compliance with guidance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry and basic tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service.
• Ability to follow procedures and multitask in structured environments.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently within a small IT team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for IT support tickets and requests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, and peripherals across devices.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 onboarding, accounts, and password resets.
• Help patching, updates, and coordination of vulnerability remediation.
• Follow security protocols and compliance standards.
• Document resolutions and activities in the IT ticketing system.
• Coordinate with senior IT staff to ensure system integrity.
• Assist with hardware inventory, deployments, and lifecycle maintenance.
• Perform routine system checks and basic admin tasks.
