Polyhose Inc is seeking a part-time IT Support Technician to maintain computers, software, and network systems. This role blends hands-on troubleshooting with day-to-day technical support for employees, welcoming students and recent grads with relevant coursework and practical skills.

Responsibilities include desktop and printer setup, OS/software updates, VPN access, network switch and firewall assistance, and system monitoring.

Qualificações

Pursuing or completed degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting computers, software, and peripherals through coursework, projects, internships, or employment.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and IP addressing.
Familiarity with wired and wireless networks, VPNs, firewalls, and switches.
Ability to explain technical issues clearly and provide patient, professional support.
Dependability, attention to detail, and willingness to take ownership of tasks.

Responsabilidades

Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Set up and maintain printers, scanners, and multifunction devices.
Install and update operating systems and software, including license management.
Diagnose hardware issues and coordinate repairs with vendors.
Troubleshoot wired and wireless connectivity issues and support VPN access.
Support network switches, including ports, VLANs, and PoE.
Assist with firewall configuration, rules, and security policies.
Monitor network devices and respond to alerts and outages.
Support backups, endpoint protection, and software updates as needed.
