Job summary

ORLEANS NIAGARA BOCES is seeking a part-time Computer Technician to support the day-to-day network operations and assist with hardware repairs and software upgrades. The technician will collect diagnostic information from end users, guide them through basic connectivity issues, and perform routine maintenance under supervision.

Position is temporary and part-time, offering 15–30 hours per week for up to 3 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information resource management, microcomputer technology or related field; OR an Associate's degree with related field and two years of experience; OR high school diploma with 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Responds to helpdesk tickets and assists computer users with problems.
• Installs and tests computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment.
• Configures equipment and verifies proper performance using wiring diagrams and testing tools.
• Manages inventory and maintains repair records for computer hardware.
