Job summary

Greater Southern Tier BOCES is seeking an entry-level, hourly temp positioned to support IT operations. You will unload, image and set up workstations, and configure network devices such as PCs, hubs and switches. You may replace damaged devices and assist with inventory tracking of hardware and software.

Qualifications

• Requires basic computer skills and ability to follow guidance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a training-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Unloads, unboxes, images, sets up workstations
• Configures network devices (PCs, hubs, switches, peripherals)
• Replaces damaged, non-functioning devices (workstations, printers, hubs, switches, telephones)
• Maintains inventory/account tracking for hardware, software, and peripheral devices
• Forwards networked problems to Lead or Sr. levels for corrective action
• Exhibits good communication skills
