Job summary

Saint Peter’s Health Care System is seeking a PC Support Technician - Temporary to assist hospital staff with computer-related issues, setup, and maintenance of hardware and software. The role involves helping with Windows and Mac OS environments, remote desktop support, and ensuring efficient IT operations.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, solid networking basics, and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

Basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi configuration.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with Windows and Mac OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair desktop hardware components.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or MCP are a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide expert network and computer support for hospital staff, installing and maintaining hardware/software, monitoring backups, and troubleshooting promptly.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot software including Microsoft Office; provide remote desktop support.
Support software applications and licensing, respond to inquiries, and assist with licensing processes.
Provide timely solutions to user requests; document and evaluate support tickets to improve training.
Collaborate with IT management and alert them to potential problems; stay updated on evolving technology trends.
