Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University Great Valley campus in Malvern, PA is seeking part-time User Support Specialists for its ITS Help Desk. You will assist staff, faculty, students, and external clients with computer and AV technology, both remotely and on-site as needed.

Responsibilities include answering questions over the phone, assisting walk-ins, troubleshooting hardware and software, and supporting classroom technology and conferencing events.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in various technical environments.
• Experience with PC and MAC environments.
• Part-time hours (10–24 per week) on-site at Great Valley Campus; Mon–Thu evenings and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions over the phone and assist walk-ins at the Help Desk.
• Troubleshoot hardware and workstation problems and support AV for conferencing events.
• Learn and test new applications and AV systems with the IT team.
• Provide technology support to staff, faculty, students, and external clients.
