Job summary

The Senior IT/AV Support Specialist at the University of Pennsylvania provides advanced technical support for HireIT clients and AV systems across campus. You will advise on planning, selection, and use of AV solutions, support events, and collaborate with the HireIT team to maintain service continuity.

This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, client-facing communications, and occasional after-hours coverage.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong customer service orientation with diverse clients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in BOM, Scope of Work, and RFPs.
Technical knowledge operating in software UI pages (QSYS Designer, Dante Controller, Logitech Sync, Mersive Solstice).
Understanding of audio signal flow, gain structure, and EQ.
Experience with configuration of QSC control systems.
Q-SYS Designer Level 1 Certification (Level 2 preferred)
Dante Level 1 Certification (Level 2 preferred)
Experience with Windows/Mac support.

Responsibilities

Consultation and Recommendations: Analyze requirements and advise on AV solutions.
A/V Client Support: Remote and on-site troubleshooting of AV systems.
A/V Event Support: Provide technical support for events and meetings.
Client Support Intake: Engage with clients via multiple channels for support.
Relationship Management: Maintain client relationships and inform about policies.
Project Participation: Manage services, logs, and configuration files.
Client Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Education and Training: Ongoing learning about new technology.
Other duties as assigned.
