Job summary

Pay-O-Matic is seeking a Front-Line Customer Service Representative for a part-time, in-person role in Queens with schedules that may include weekends and holidays. The position focuses on delivering quality customer service, processing transactions, and promoting Pay-O-Matic products.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently or in a team, and flexibility to cover floating/store locations as needed.

Qualifications

• One to two years related experience or equivalent.

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Bilingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and responds to customers’ needs.
• Processes customer transactions including cashing checks, money transfers, bill payment and selling a wide range of prepaid products; ensures all information is in place prior to completing transactions.
• Opens new preferred customer accounts and issues preferred customer cards like the inPower debit card.
• Ensures completion of customer transactions in a timely and courteous manner.
• Establishes and maintains customer accounts by updating photos, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
• Maintains working knowledge of all Payomatic’s products and services.
• Responds to customers’ inquiries regarding their accounts or Payomatic’s products and services in a professional and courteous manner.
• Promotes Payomatic’s services by offering customers information on valuable services.
