Job summary

Pay-O-Matic is seeking a Front-Line Customer Service Representative for a part-time, in-person role in Brooklyn, NY. The CSR will assist customers with transactions, account setup, and inquiries, with weekend/holiday availability and occasional store floating to nearby locations.

Typical duties include cash handling, bill payments, transfers, and promoting services while maintaining a clean, secure workspace. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

• Effectively identifies and responds to customers’ needs.
• Processes customer transactions including cashing checks, money transfers, bill payment and selling a wide range of pre-paid products; ensures all information is in place prior to completing transactions.
• Opens new preferred customer accounts and issues cards.
• Ensures completion of customer transactions in a timely and courteous manner.
• Establishes and maintains customer accounts by updating photos, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
• Maintains working knowledge of all Payomatic’s products and services.
• Responds to customers’ inquiries regarding their accounts or Payomatic’s products and services in a professional manner.
• Promotes Payomatic’s services by offering information on valuable services.
• Follows all Company’s cash handling procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the Secure Area.
• Performs routine store cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping the lobby and Secure Area, wiping down counters and high-touch surfaces, and maintaining an orderly and professional customer environment.
• Follows safety and sanitation procedures when handling cleaning materials.
• Opens and closes the store at shift start/end; reconciles cash.
