Community Partners in Action (CPA) is seeking a part-time Human Services Worker for the Waterbury Transitional House in Waterbury, CT. The role supports residents in a supervised, structured setting and helps connect them to services and recovery opportunities.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED (associates/bachelors preferred), a valid CT driver’s license, and the ability to work weekends/holidays. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in human services with justice-involved clients and substance abuse or mental health issues is preferred.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) desired.
• Valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise resident activities and maintain a safe environment.
• Advocate for participants to encourage participation and accountability.
• Mediator to resolve conflicts in a solutions‑focused manner.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents, staff, visitors and providers.
• Model professionalism and adhere to ethics in all interactions.
• Promote respect, belonging, and reduce bias within the program.
• Maintain shift logs and complete incident reports as required.
• Verify visitor identification and conduct basic searches when needed.
