Job summary

Community Partners in Action, Inc. is seeking a part-time Human Services Worker for the Waterbury Transitional House. The role supports supervised, residential programming and helps residents achieve positive behavioral changes within a structured environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and may hold an associate or bachelor's degree. Multicultural engagement, crisis management, and a valid CT driver’s license are important. Weekend and additional hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience in human services with justice-involved clients or substance use considerations preferred.
• Ability to interact with multi-cultural populations; crisis management skills; transportation with valid CT license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities according to program policies and safety protocols.
• Advocate for participants, encourage participation and accountability.
• Mediate conflicts and promote solutions-focused resolutions.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents, staff, and visitors at all times.
• Document incidents accurately and maintain shift logs for program managers.
